On this episode of SHOWCASE WITH BARBARA KELLAR, Tony-nominated actress and singer Pamela Myers discusses her career on Broadway and in Hollywood.

In April 1970, Pamela Myers made her Broadway debut as “Marta” in Stephen Sondheim's musical “Company,” directed by Harold Prince. She was nominated at the 1971 Tony awards for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance of “Another Hundred People.” “Company” garnered a (then) record-breaking 14 Tony nominations and the show earned six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Some of the roles that Ms. Myers has played include: Peppermint Patty (“Snoopy! The Musical”); Cinderella’s stepmother (“Into the Woods”); Mama Rose (“Gypsy”); Mrs. Lovett (“Sweeney Todd”); Gooch (“Mame”); Dolly Levi (“Hello Dolly”) and Aunt Eller  (“Oklahoma.”)

Myers has also performed with the Cincinnati and Boston Pops orchestras. She appeared in the “Salute to Sondheim” and in “What a Swell Party! The Cole Porter Salon”

Even though she has forged a career on the national stage, she has spent many of those years living in Cincinnati.

During the program, Ms. Myers will also perform several of her favorite Broadway songs.
